Primary Custody Returned to Mom after Wrongful Switch to Father
In one of the most high-profile cases in which a primary nurturing mother lost custody to a reportedly abusive father, Maya Tsimhoni regained primary custody of her children Wednesday. Details are not readily available but The Women's Coalition will update when they are.
It appears the case was settled, which would fit the majority of cases where the mother gets some sort of custody returned to her: the father agreed to it, rather than the court affording due process and equal protection for the primary nurturing mother.
Meanwhile, Judge Lisa Gorcyca, the judge who wrongly switched custody to the father, has been prosecuted by the Judicial Commission for misconduct. A decision is expected soon.
Although this is a victory for Maya and the kids, they should never have had to go through this trauma. If women had more power, this would not have happened. Join The Women's Coalition in the fight for women's civil right to keep and protect their children.
Judge to decide if Gorcyca committed judicial misconduct
Congratulations to Maya!
